Dunnamaggin 1-13 Tullogher Rosbercon 1-5

In awful conditions in Tullogher, Tullogher played their second match in the South JAHL. A poor showing from Tullogher in the first half, only registering 1 point was the basis for a resounding defeat. After a stiff talking to and a number of changes Tullogher improved somewhat in the second half but were never serious contenders in this encounter. Best for Tullogher was James Mullally, with good contributions from Luke Kent and James Ryan when introduced. Seaghan O’ Neill from Dunnamaggin was a constant torn in the Tullogher side, registering an impressive personal tally for his side. Tullogher look for an improved performance when they take on Mooncoin, in Mooncoin at 1pm on Saturday.

Colleges Football

Best of luck to Good Counsel College and club players Thomas O'Connor and  Richard Gill who play the All-Ireland Junior Final on Saturday in Clonmel at 5pm vs Rochestown,Cork. Daire McGrath misses out on the big day through injury.

Juvenile Challenge Games

U16's played Glenmore in a challenge game on sunday evening last and came away with a good 1pt win. Despite being only a challenge both sets of players were keen to have "bragging rights" on monday in school, so it was a very competitive encounter. Our lads were 5 pts down with 10 mins left , the lads brought it back level with time almost upo nly for Frank Murphy (ballyreddy) to score the winning point with the last stroke of the game. Well done to new trainer Murt flynn and mentors Billy Ryan (also making his debut as a selector) and Stephen Cotterell.

Team: Paudie Walsh, Kyle Bookle, David Walsh, Frankie Power, Mark McGrath, Richard Gill, Niall O'Beirne, Dylan Morrissey, Mark Forristal, Shane Lyng, Thomas O'Connor, John Kehoe, Jack Kennedy, Frank Murphy, Aidan O'Neill.

U14's played Roinn A outfit Piltown on Monday evening and went down by 5pts.  Down by 9pts at 1/2 time the lads played a good 2nd half to bring difference back to 2pts only for a very good Piltown team to pull away with a last minute goal.
Team: Jamie Power, Terry Lawlor, Simon Kennedy, Niall O'Shea, Jack Mullally, Dylan Morrissey, Ronan Moore, Richie Aylward, Frank Murphy, Ben Kennedy, Mark McGrath, Darragh McDonald, James Banville, Coleman O'Sullivan, Ciall O'Connor, (subs all used) Brian Walsh, Thomas Handrick Pat Doyle

Schools U13 League

The schools team played Bennetsbridge in the second round of the schools league. conceding 2 early goals the lads couldn't recover and went down by 5pts.

The U10's started the year off with a blitz in glenmore. The lads won all 3 games vs Glenmore, St Mullins and Geraldine O'Hanrahans.
