The Junior A’s recorded an impressive victory over Carrickshock in the 1st Round of the Junior A League Championship. Played in wet conditions Carrickshock opened brightly and led 0-05 to 0-01 after 10 minutes. Tullogher battled back to trail 0-08 to 0-07 at the break thanks in large to the free taking of Cian O’Donaghue.

Tullogher dominated the second half with a great team effort led by the hardworking John Murphy and the impressive midfield partnership of Brendan Lawlor and Anthony Cotterell. A goal for Carrickshock, their only score in the 2nd half, brought them to within 2 points with 10 minutes to go but further points and a goal from Joe Ryan wrapped up the game.

Tullogher play Glenmore in Round 2 on Sunday, June 30th.
