On Saturday, February 16th, the top of the table clash between Tullogher Rosbercon and Young Ireland’s of Gowran ended in a draw in the 3rd round of the J.J. Kavanagh Junior Football League Championship. The game


The home side Gowran, started brightly with 3 points without reply until a Brendan Lawlor effort opened Tullogher’s account. Further points from Cian O’Donaghue before half time left the scores level at 0-04 apiece at the break. A goal early in the 2nd half gave the momentum to Gowran and left Tullogher trialling by 5 with 10 minutes to go. However a further free from Cian and a goal from Pat Hartley, after a great team move, left Tullogher trialling by the minimum with time almost up. John Grennan won the ball and managed to shoot an equalising point through the crowed defence for a share of the spoils. Final score Young Ireland's 1-07 Tullogher Rosbercon 1-07.

The draw means Tullogher finish 2nd in the group behind Gowran and will know face Muckalee in the quarter final of the championship.
