Minor Championship

The minors played Slieverue in the Roinn B semi final last Sat in Mullinavat. Slieverue had been playing in Roinn A for the past few years at U16 and U14, so were were always going to be favorites to win out Roinn B this year.
The Tullogher boys were well in the game during the opening quarter , but Slieverue were scoring alot easier from play and led 6pts to 3 after 15mins. Slieverue then pulled away before half-time to lead 0-13 to 0-5 at the break, with Tullogher only scoring 1pt from play (Thomas O'Connor) and Cian O'Donoghue scoring 0-4 from frees.
Slieverue widened the gap further at the start of the second half and 2 goals finished of the game as a contest after 10 mins. Tullogher Rosbercon fought on bravely and after a reshuffle of players scored 1-3 to reduce the gap on the scoreboard. Cian O'Donoghue scoring the goal and Donnacha O'Connor scoring 2 points from play.
In the end the score was 2-21 to 1-8 and Slieverue moved onto the final against Graigue-Ballycallan.
A disappointing end to the year but Slieverue looked a really good even team who were just too good for us on the day.
