Intermediate League

The intermediates played Glenmore in the 4th round of the intermediate hurling league last Thursday in Mullinavat. It was a vital game for Tullogher to steer clear of the relegation battle and try move up the league table.
Glenmore started off strongly in front of a big crowd in Mullinavat with Ger Aylward goaling after just 2 mins. However Cian O'Donoghue and Walter Walsh grabbed 2 pts to get Tullogher into the game. The teams traded points over the next few minutes including an excellent point from Kevin Hennessey. After 10 minutes Glenmore goaled again after a 21 yard free was saved but an in-rushing Glenmore forward scored the rebound. This left the score 2-2 to 0-4. Tullogher Rosbercon kept their heads and got back level with 4 frees from Cian O'Donoghue and points from John Barron and Conor Hennessey. Glenmore had added 3 further points leading up to half-time to leave the score 2-5 to 0-9 at the break.

However just before halftime Glenmore were reduced to 14 men when Kilkenny Minor Alan Murphy was red carded for a strike on Kevin Hennessey, This left Glenmore without their main free-taker and one of their best forwards.

Tullogher started off the 2nd half with 3 points in a row from Cian O'Donoghue (2) and Jack Cotterell, however they then struck 3 bad wides which would have put Glenmore under serious pressure. Glenmore responded with a point from play and a free. with Tullogher's reply coming from Conor Hennessey. This left it all square after 45 minutes.

Tullogher then scored 2 goals in a minute to literally finish the game, Ted Cullinane struck first and then Cian O'Donoghue scored a second which put Tullogher 6pts clear. From there to the end of the game Glenmore failed to score and Tullogher Rosbercon added 3 further points from Conor Hennessey , Walter Walsh and Ted Cullinane to leave the final score 2-16 to 2-8

Minor League

The Minors played 2 rounds of the league over the last 2 weeks. First game was against Dunnamaggin in Brownstown and the lads won by 3pts. The lead changed hands several times in the 1st half with Cian O'Donoghue making the difference with a goal before half time to give the home team a 4 point lead at the break.
Dunnamaggin then took over for some time in the second half but the local boys fought back bravely with a few points from Luke Kent and Conor Hennessey and another goal by Cian O'Donoghue near the end gave the lads a well deserved 3pt win.

The last round of the Minor league was away to Callan and the lads failed to make any impression in the 1st half losing by 0-6 pts at 1/2 time on a scoreline of 1-9 to 0-6. In a disappointing 2nd half Callan pulled away to lead by 2-17 to 0-12 after 60 mins. The lads got a consolation goal to finish on a scoreline of 2-18 to 1-12. The result meant Tullogher Rosbercon missed out on a place in the later stages of the league.

The under 14's (above) played in the O'Loughlin Gaels tournament over the last 2 weekends. They had 4 games in all and they had good wins against Carrickshock and Kilmacow. The lost by a last minute point to Windgap and lost to Barrow Rangers on a scoreline of 4-4 to 1-2.
12 teams took part in the Tournament over the 2 weekends.

The U10s played Mooncoin on monday last and fielding 2 teams (which is the norm at U10) the lads won both games easily. Well done to all the lads
