Leinster Final

Best of luck to Walter Walsh and Conor Hennessy in the Senior and Minor Leinster finals next Sunday. With good wins in their semi finals hopefully both teams can get past Galway (Senior) and Dublin (Minor) and retain the Leinster titles.

The Intermediates played Ballyhale Shamrocks in the 1st round of the Senior/Intermediate All County League on Tuesday last in Brownstown. With county players ineligible to play both teams had to play experimental lineouts. The shamrocks started best with a few early points but t
Tullogher got going with a few points of their own inside the 1st 10 minutes. Shamrocks then got a penalty after former Kilkenny player Eoin Reid was fouled, which he converted for a goal. Tullogher Rosbercon responded well with a goal from Cian O'Donoghue. The locals took control then and led at half-time. Another Cian goal in the 2nd half cancelled out a shamrocks goal. Tullogher led right into extra time after John Cotterell pointed what appeared to be the winner. However in typical Shamrocks fashion they goaled in the 5th minute of extra time to win by 2 pts on a score of 3-15 to 2-16. Tullogher Rosbercon fielded a very young team so hopefully another few games against senior opposition will only improve the side before the championship resumes.

Junior A

The Junior A's played Carrickshock in the final game of the league. Carrickshock were well on top during the 1st half but only led 1-6 -0-6 at 1/20 time. They continued to lead right through the 2nd half. with 10 mins left John Barron struck a penalty which was saved but got the rebound and slotted home to put Tullogher within a point of Carrickshock. They then added 2 points to go into what seemed a match winning position. However in a strange closing minute the referee awared a mysterious free to Carrickshock which they converted to draw the game at 1-11 each.
The A's now play Mooncoin next Saturday in the league Semi Final in Slieverue at 7.30pm.

Junior B

The Junior B's continued to remain competitive in their league when losing to Mooncoin on a scoreline of 2-7 to 1-17.  With only 1 league game left hopefuly with a few regulars back, the focus will be on the 1st round of the championship.

The U16's were back in action after their exam break with a home game vs John Lockes on Monday last. A flying start by the visitors gave them a 2-2 start before Tullogher got going. When they did get going the boys got 2 goals and added several points to take the lead before half-time. With the wind advantage in the second half it looked positive for Tullogher Robsercon. A physically bigger Callan team defended well in the 2nd half and eventually got the upper hand and won on a score-line of 4-11 to 3-6. With a few more league games left during July the lads will try close the gap on Callan who they meet in the 1st round of the championship in early August.

The U14's had a busy end to the league , playing the last 2 rounds of the league in a week. Both games resulted in big wins for the boys, beating Cloneen 5-4 to 1-4 and Carrickshock 3-19 to 0-6. These wins ensured 3rd place in the league which meant a Shield Final for the lads. The final was a rematch against St Patricks Ballyragget. Anxious to avenge their league defeat to Tullogher, St Patricks got off to a flying start going into a 1-7 to 0-0 lead after only 10 mins. Tullogher Rosbercon got into the game with 2 goals from Ciaran Prendergast and got the lead down to 5 points after 1/2 time. However a late goal by Ballyragget crowned their fine win on a scoreline of 3-11 to 2-4.

The U11's played in a tournament organised by Kilmacow last Saturday. The boys played 3 separate teams from Lucan Sarsfields (Dublin) and won all 3 games easily.

The U10's played the annual go-games tournament in Nowlan Park last Saturday. Fielding 2 teams against Mooncoin in hurling and football the large squad had a great day in Kilkenny.

U8's and U6's

The U8's and U6's played Dunnamaggin last week in Dunnamaggin. It was a busy evening fielding 3 teams with many of the young players playing their 1st game for the club.
