U21 Championship

The U21's played Graiguenamanagh in the 1st round of the U21 B Championship in Thomastown 2 weeks ago. The game started off fairly even with the score after 10 mins 0-3 to 0-2 to graigue. Tulloghers 2 points coming from Cian O'Donoghue frees.
However then, following an accidental collision, Stephen Browne, the graigue cornerback suffered a broken leg and the game was halted for almost an hour. Following the arrival of an ambulance and medical personnel Stephen was transferred to hospital with a very serious injury.
Once the game resumed Tullogher Rosbercon scored a goal immediately from a 21 yard free by Cian O'Donoghue to go into the lead.
Graiguenamangh upped their game though and reeled off 6 points in a row before half time. Tullogher's only reply was a goal from David Manning right on half-time to leave the score , 0-9 to 2-2 , Graigue leading by a point.
After the restart, Cian leveled the score with another free. however graigue then took over again and outscored Tullogher 0-6 to 0-2 over the next 20 mins, Donnacha O'Connor and Daire McGrath scoring points from play. With 10 mins left there was only 4 points between the sides but Graiguenamanagh finished strongest with 2 goals in 2 minutes to put the result beyond doubt, final score 2-15 to 2-5.
Overall Graiguenamangh looked a stronger team but with all the Tullogher Rosbercon players under-age again next year we should be more competitive then.
Team: Stephen Lawlor, Paudie McGrath, Sean Murray, Mark Lawlor, Tarek O'Connor, Anthony Cotterell, Kevin Hennessey, Daire McGrath (0-1), Billy Ryan, Conor Hennessey, Donnacha O'Connor (0-1), Cian O'Donoghue (1-3), Liam Walsh, David Manning (1-)0, Rory Byrne. Subs Jack Byrne, Chris McKeown.

The Club and U21 players wish Stephen Browne a speedy recovery following his terrible injury
