All-Ireland Senior Final

Congratulations to Walter Walsh on winning his 3rd All-Ireland Senior Medal last week in Croke Park. Playing a huge part in Kilkenny's victory with 2 great points and also setting up the 1st half goal for TJ Reid. Yet again a great day for his family and the club.

Intermediate team vs Tullaroan

Intermediate League

Our Intermediate team took the field against Tullaroan in the final round of the League. To avoid a relegation battle the lads had to win and also hope another few results went our way. The lads dominated the 1st half of the game and led from the 5th minute to 1/2 time to go in 0-9 to 0-7 in front. Conor Hennessy had 3 points from play, with Walter Walsh (2), Liam Barron, Jason Shiely and Cian O'Donoghue (3) also contributing scores in what was a good 1st half performance.
At half time it was close but with Thomastown also leading in their game avoiding the bottom 2 positions looked a possibility.
Tullaroan had other ideas though. Although Ted Cullinane had an excellent point at the start of the 2nd half, Tullaroan took over completely with Tommy Walsh to the fore. Outscoring Tullogher by 0-6 to 0-1 in the mid part of the 2nd half, Tullaroan looked like winners. A brief fightback from Tullogher with points from Walter and Moling Cotterell, was quickly overturned with a few more Tullaroan points to run out winners on a scoreline of 0-18 to 0-13.
Yet again Tullogher Rosbercon led at 1/2 time and failed to hold on to the lead, hopefully with the championship next weekend the lads will be able to finish out the game and get through to the quarter finals.

Minor League

The Minors took on the Rower Inistioge in the final game of the League recently. Fielding 3 county minors the Rower looked strong but the Tullogher boys took complete control of the 1st half in a great display. A Paul Manning goal plus great play all over the field gave the locals a 7 point lead at one stage. Conor Hennessy was having a great game, scoring at will. Powered by top county minor Richie Leahy, the Rower gradually brought the lead down during the final quarter and levelled it in extra time to finish on a score-line of 1-14 to 0-17.

U14 Championship

The U14's played Cloneen/Railyard in Palmerstown on Tue last. Cloneen struck early with 2 goals in the 1st quarter and although Tullogher had a goal in reply, Cloneen led 2-5 to 1-3 at half-time. The lads brought the difference down to 3 points during the 2nd half but Cloneen finished strongest to win on a scoreline of 2-9 to 2-4.

U12s

The U12's played Mullinavat last week in Brownstown and proved too strong for the visitors and won on a scoreline of 5-7 to 1-2. Well done to the boys on continuing their good run.

U10s

The u10's played in the annual Kitty Aylward Cup in Ballyhale on Sat last.  The lads played Piltown in the 1st round and winning that , played Callan in the quarter final. A determined team won through to the semi-final to face last years winners Gowran. The boys played a great game and led 4-2 to 4-1 with time almost up. Gowran were then awarded a 21 and blasted to the net to win by 2 points. Well done to the boys on a great run through the competition and now try and retain their O'Donovan Cup next weekend in Slieverue.
