All-Ireland Final 2014
Congratulations to Walter Walsh on winning his second All-Ireland Senior medal on Sunday last in Croke Park.  It was another historic day for the club following on from the Minor medals won by Donnacha O’Connor and Conor Hennessey 3 weeks ago.

Minor Championship Win

Tullogher Rosbercon 2-13 Lisdowney 0-10

Half time score was 0.07 to 0.04 to Tullogher.  Sustained Tullogher Rosbercon offensive in the second half, with Cian O Donohoe switiching to full forward and Conor Hennessy moving to the number 11 spot led to the winners outscoring Lisdowney by 2. 06 to 0.6 with Thomas O Connor and Conor Hennessy scoring goals after good approach work by Tullogher.

Opening with the wind, the lads were behind by 3 points but scores from play and frees by Cian and from play by Conor Hennessy and Thomas O Connor saw the lads into a 4 point lead by half time.   Paudie Walsh made a great save in the first half and the defenders, led by team captain, Donnacha O Connor, worked hard in both halves to restrict Lisdowney to points only.

Team was Paudie Walsh, Mark Forristal, Donnacha O Connor (captain) Chris McKeown, David Walsh, Paudie McGrath, Stephen Lawlor, Tarek O Connor (inj 52,Paul Manning) Jason Shiely, Richard Gill, Cian O Donohoe, Thomas O Connor, Jack Byrne, Conor Hennessy, Daire Paul Manning, Shane Lyng, Frankie Power, Niall O'Beirne.

Intermediate Championship

Quarter final of Intermediate Championship will take place on Sat 11th Oct in Bennetsbridge at 4pm vs Lisdowney.
All support is welcome for this big game for the club as the lads try to make the Intermediate semi-finals for the 1st time ever.

Well done to U9's who won all 3 of their games at the Kilmacow tournament last Saturday morning.

Schools Football

Our combined schools football team is finding the going tough in Roinn A of the schools football league. An early win vs Callan started the year off well but successive defeats to Thomastown and Kilkenny CBS have shown how difficult its it to compete against the larger schools. best of luck to the lads in their remaining games vs Castlecomer and Gaelscoil.
