A young U21 team, containing 10 minors suffered the heatbreak of conceding an injury time goal to lose to Dunnamaggin in the South B Semi Final on Saturday Nov 17th in Mooncoin. Tullogher started brightly with a Wally Walsh point from midfield in the first minute. The lead was further extended when a long free from Billy Ryan was finished to the net by his brother Richie. Tullogher led 1-4 to 0-02 after 20 minutes but were overrun by a dominate Dunnamaggin for the remaining 10 minutes and trailed 1-06 to 1-05 at half time.

Dunnamaggin continued to put pressure on the Tullogher defense at the start of the 2nd half, but a combination of Billy Ryan and Richie Power saved a penalty and kept the minimum between the teams. A great solo goal by Donnacha O’Connor gave Tullogher momentum and the lead which they would hold to injury time. With time up, Wally Walsh scored his 4th point from midfield to push Tullogher 2 clear. However deep into injury time Dunnamaggin created an opening and scored the all-important goal. With the final puck of the game Dunnamaggin scored a point to win on the scoreline of 2-11 to 2-09. Hard luck to the team and management on a preformance that was full of passion and determination.

Team: Richie Power, Padraig McGrath, Sean Murray, James Murphy, Billy Ryan, Tony Conway, Kevin Hennessy, Anthony Cotterill, Wally Walsh, Richie Ryan, Robert Hartley, Mark Lawlor, Liam Walsh (Donnacha O’Connor), Cian O’Donaghue, Michael Ryan.
